On the road to Junior Olympics 2023

One of my daughter's longest-time friends needs help to compete in the 2023 Junior Olympics. Nehemiah is an incredibly talented kid in so many areas: academics, music, tinkering, and track and field. He is following his brother's steps, who just signed a full scholarship with Samford University. So this is not only about a running race but about the future of Nehemiah's education.

Unfortunately, his father cannot afford the trip to Des Moines, Iowa where the Junior Olympics take place from July 31 to August 5. They need to fix their car, buy gas, and pay for accommodations and on-the-road meals. If there's money left, they will also buy some much needed running shoes.

Maybe you have contributed to Nehemiah's father when he was recovering from a health setback, and he asked me to thank everybody again:

"I would like to express gratitude for the help we received on the last Go Fund Me and the help that it provided in changing the trajectory of my children’s lives. There was kindness invested in our desperate situation. Many people sacrificed finances for our family. Less than a year later, I have a son headed out of state to run track at an NCAA Division 1 University. Many people gave with their hearts, and in return, there was the birth of opportunity. I am eight hours away from a Civil Cad associate's degree. I will be able to reestablish a professional job. Moving forward and pushing forward to get another child into college."
