On y va! Studying Abroad en France :0

Hi, my name is Ivan Enriquez!

I am a Junior in HighSchool looking to travel abroad in France! I'm fundraising to learn more about the World, and its variety of people and cultures The program is a 4-week long camp at Rennes, France, where I will collaborate alongside fellow students from the U.S. and from France!

It’s a big Desire of mine to better understand how different life is in Europe, and learn about the different cultures there. Rennes has an abundance of arts, culture, and musical festivals that offers sooo much to learn from and experience

It’s a big desire of mine to understand the history of cultures, since it could help me to understand the interconnectedness of all the cultures of the World, including my own. And that would help me to understand why the world is how it is, so I can understand where it could go in the future. I plan to use this to plan out my career in Sales / Consulting

Also, learning more about history in the study abroad program will develop my understanding of the world’s various cultures, and how cultures can affect the world in a variety of significant and subtle ways. And, as the future unfolds, I will use what I learned from my experiences abroad to broaden my perspective of Reality

I have been growing and cultivating my talents and passions for so long now; and soon I will be taking it to the next level by immersing myself in France's culture! I've been able to jump from French 1 to French 3 in 1 year... So I expect to make faster results by making the most out of the little time I will be given in France

Recently, Last fall, I applied for a chance to earn a scholarship. I spent lots of time reviewing my essay's, researched about the program, and made sure the trip would align greatly with my future goals to make sure the trip would be worth my effort.

While I didn't receive the full ride, they did accept me into the program and gave me a $2,175 scholarship!

The remaining cost is around $5,075, and I will be raising a little over half of that ($3,750) by working construction, sales, and any other job that pays well

The rest I am hoping to achieve by the generosity of those who know me or would love to support my passion for language!
