Onaiya Lee's Recovery

Donation protected
My niece Onaiya is a sweet, caring, strong, and resilient 10 year old girl who loves her family especially her little sister Milani. On Friday morning, December 10, 2021, Onaiya became severely ill at school with a stomach ache. Onaiya was then picked up from school by her parents and was taken home to be cared for. At the time, her parents believed her illness may have been caused by food poisoning or an upset stomach. As the day went on, she began to vomit off and on for a couple of
hours. Due to the consistent severe vomiting for hours on end, her parents began to worry. Within minutes, her parents rushed her to Vaca Valley Northbay Medical Center, where her parents were informed that her condition was far worse than a basic tummy ache. After running various tests, the doctor came to a conclusion that Onaiya had an aggressive rare form of pancreatitis, which was very uncommon for kids. The doctor also stated that there was a blood clot around her liver. Onaiya was then quickly transferred to UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, pediatric icu where she currently resides.

During the first few days at UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, Onaiya was treated with an insulin drip to lower her glucose levels, a dialysis machine to help her liver/kidneys, and she was also sedated and intubated to undergo a PIC and A-line insertion to receive proper medicines and fluids. Onaiya also received a few steroid medicines and a plasma exchange to reduce some of the inflammation in her pancreas due to leaking fluid around the rest of her body.

No matter what the circumstances entail, Onaiya's family is a family of faith who continues to trust and believe that God will do a complete healing for Onaiya Lee. Onaiya's family is requesting help with medical expenses and other expenses due to her medical condition. Due to unforeseen circumstances, and no exact date of when she will be released from the PICU unit, any donation whether big or small, will help Onaiya and her family during this time.

Thank you in advance for the prayers, donation, and love. We are eternally grateful.❤️
