One Family, One Fight! Team Marquez

Hello everyone! My name is Terri. I have grown up with and know this AMAZING family most of my life. If anyone has ever met Vance or Elva Marquez, no explanation from me is needed, but I'm gonna give one anyway. I would like to think I was blessed TWICE with two sets of parents. Vance is that man/Dad, human being that has that special gift that I know is only God given, of being able to make you feel better just by being in his presence. That way of making you know everything is gonna be ok just because he is in your life and on your side, and simply because you know him, and Elva. They are those people that will help anyone without you even asking and would never ask for anything in return. They are THOSE kind of people. I am so proud and blessed to have them in my life.

This year in September, Vance was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the head/neck (throat cancer). Since then, so much has changed in Vance and Elva's lives. He has tried to keep a positive attitude (to make all of us feel better), and has done an amazing job of that so far in this process. Treatment of his throat cancer will impact his ability to eat, speak, swallow and, sadly....for everyone that knows him also.....to sing. One of the biggest joys in his life is to be able to sing for the Lord and his family.

This cancer will take a massive toll on his life and health....mentally, physically and financially. Your donation will have a positive impact on Vance and his family. The funds will be used to alleviate the financial burden of the additional costs associated with his treatment. They have had to relocate their home to Houston for the next 3 to 6 months (so far) because the treatments are very aggressive. He is going to be going through Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments. Sometimes they are twice a day.

We want Vance to focus on his treatment, healing and recovery and not have to worry or stress over the financial aspect of treatment. This is where all of us come into play in this process.
