From Mitch, her brother:
Sorry for the delay in this update.
It is with great sadness that we announce that Jane passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 19, 2022. Her obituary is here and Celebration of Life is here. Jane's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the more than 10,000 people who donated to her treatment. You are special to us and we pray God's blessing for your kindness which extended her life by more than two years and allowed her to bless the world on America's Got Talent. There is no doubt that she would have died three months before the show without the treatment made possible by your donations. One of Jane's dreams was to establish The Nightbirde Foundation to help those with their own cancer battles. The foundation has already started fulfilling its mission and has paid for several treatments for a 35-yr-old female. She was being treated at the same clinic with Jane and they became friends. She had run out of money for her next treatment and Jane decided to pay for the next five treatments even while she was raising money for her own. Such was the generosity of Jane. Your donation to The Nightbirde Foundation will help people like Jane and her friend. Jane is no longer with us, but her legacy will remain alive and fruitful through her foundation. Your donations, prayers and words of encouragement have made a difference. All donations received through Jane's GoFundMe accounts will now be sent to TheNightbirde Foundation. Thank you.

This spring, I experienced a true miracle. Hundreds of tumors died in my body, after being given 3-6 months to live. It was a whirlwind of a year, and my friends, family, and fans gave tens of thousands of dollars for a treatment that saved my life.
But it turns out that my journey wasn’t quite over.
Late summer after the finalization of my divorce and months after my cancer free report, I suffered a catatonic mental breakdown, and I barely spoke, ate, or moved from bed for several months. With help from the specialists here, we discovered that the events of this year had caused a physical head trauma. My brain was sending false signals of excruciating pain, and my brain’s ability to process stress and emotion was functioning at just 8%.
With some brain wave therapy, I have made some huge strides and consider myself extremely lucky to have found the help I did. (Again, able to afford it with the money you gave!) But all of this took a tremendous toll on my body, and some of the cancer has grown back.
We are confident that the same cancer treatments as before will yield the same amazing results, and I’m calling on you for some help once again, as they’re not covered by my insurance.
It pains me to ask again for money, but I ask as Moses did when he needed water, and he spoke to the rock; as the friend banging on his neighbor’s door asking for bread in the night. Not because I am entitled to your help, but because I desperately need it.
I believe my story is far from over, and I just need a little more to get through to the other side. I love you, and thank you for being heroes in my story.
