One Last Ride with Dad: Car Repair Needed
Donation protected
I am the only daughter of an amazing man who has taught me that people can change and grow and become stronger than you ever thought possible. My whole life, I grew up watching my dad work on his cars. I don't remember a nice day that he wasn't outside working. His favorite car became my favorite car. He kept it and did his best to keep it running for over 20 years, then he gifted it to me. I do not have the first clue how to work on cars. Due to many circumstances with family and life, the car has fallen into disrepair. I have been planning to get it fixed up for years, but haven't had the time or the funds.
My incredible father has recently been diagnosed with advanced liver cancer and it seems we don't have long left. I would love nothing more than to get the Rampage fixed up and take him for a drive to see his favorite people one more time before he dies. I would also love for him to teach his oldest grandson to drive it. This is my only bucket list item that burns in me with my dad. I have always hoped to do this, but now my time is running out and I still don't have the funds.
Mechanics have informed us that the Rampage needs a new fuel system, new engine, tires, tune up, and probably more... the interior is falling apart, and it needs paint. We estimated between $5,000 and $10,000 would get it to the point that we could take it for a real drive and enjoy some time with my dad. We would love any help anyone could offer in achieving this goal. Thank you so much!
