Hi my name is Gemma and I'm a Co-Founder of ONE LOVE grassroots non profit charitable organization.

ONE LOVE emphasizes the unity of hearts for the benefit of many lives . To help displaced families from countries of conflict.

We are a micro charitable organization that helps displaced families and individuals in the UK from war torn countries of conflict ,persecution and war. 

These people have lost everything and endured unimaginable journeys to be safe. These people are from all walks of life , all professions who had to leave their homes, countries, extended family , businesses, family pets, all they had built ,strived for , possessions in their entirety just to survive and reach a place of safety. Their experiences are filled with trauma and grief and bravery.

On reaching this Isle of safety they still endure hardship in other ways . 

Initially an introduction to these families and individuals was to be a welcoming friendly face ,to share tea . To talk . Immediately it was apparent they needed so much more.. Over the months last year we took some necesitites ,so many arrive in the clothes they fled in which are nowhere near appropriate for our climate here!! We provided what we could to who we could ,such as donated clothing ,footwear , we bought personal hygiene items such as shampoo ,soap etc, feminine hygiene products and so on for the few we could at that time .. More and more it became apparent as to their needs . Their mental health needs as well as their physical needs was Oh so visible . The more word was spread and trust gained within their multiple occupancy accommodation that we were offering support the more the numbers grew.. and the needs increased. 

ONE LOVE was created not only to reach out for donations to be able to continue support from a wider audience but to also involve the individuals and families themselves . For them to have a voice and a valued input in ONE LOVE ,to be a crucial part of it. ONE LOVE is for them and is about them.

ONE LOVE was officially created to strive to provide activities, social gatherings , opportunities to make healthy home cooked meals in a provided venue (they are not permitted to cook /prepare meals within the non self catering accommodation)  ONE LOVE wants to provide more opportunities to go on outings, to re-enter life in new surroundings, to encourage them to leave their rooms , to be part of something, to know that they are valued,cared for and part of a community. Already together we have created a positive effect and in order to reach more, involve more ,do more ,provide more ,we NEED your LOVE and SUPPORT too.

The act of kindness is immeasurable and has a positive ripple effect on these beautiful brave people..

I personally take and deliver what is required locally and further afield. 

Your donation no matter how big or small is an amazing contribution and enormously appreciated by us and the people ,children, babies ,mother's ,father's you are helping . Every item needed literally goes directly from our hands into theirs.
