One Love Initiative: Tech for Eaton Canyon Fire Refugees
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ryan Mangini, and I represent the One Love Initiative.
As a member of this community, I feel a deep calling to help those affected by the devastating Eaton Canyon fire. I have personally witnessed the pain, frustration, and uncertainty that so many victims are experiencing as they struggle to access the assistance they desperately need. The process is moving too slowly, and these families cannot afford to wait.
At One Love Initiative, our mission is to provide donated technology to fire victims—empowering them to rebuild their lives. These devices are essential tools for applying for financial aid, medical care, insurance claims, and other critical resources that can help them recover and move forward.
How Your Support Helps
Your financial contributions will allow us to distribute donated, refurbished technology directly to those in need. Every dollar brings us closer to providing a lifeline for these families. Here’s where your donations will go:
Transportation: Helping victims reach refuge housing, community events, and pickup locations for donated technology. The cost averages $75 per trip, covering gas, driving time, and vehicle maintenance.
Technology Hardware & Accessories: Items like hard drives, screens, RAM, chargers, HDMI/display cables, and cable organizers are crucial to making these devices usable. These costs range from $25 to $150 per laptop.
Processing & Preparation: Each donated device requires approximately one hour of labor to clean, reinstall Windows, decontaminate, and prepare for distribution. Our small team does this for $75 per hour.
Storage: Equipment storage costs $600 per month to maintain a safe and organized inventory.
Administrative Costs: To ensure every dollar goes toward the mission, I personally take a $1 annual salary for my role in this initiative.
