What is there to say about Ben Fleck besides WE LOVE YOU! A Seattle native who graduated Cornish College of the Arts, Cum Laude. Ben has played music all over but has found a place in all of our hearts by being part of the Aqua by El Gaucho family for the past 20 years. Bringing wit, light, love and laughter to so many is no easy feat but he has done it with class and grace.
Unfortunately, life has unexpectedly taken a turn for the worse. Ben's symptoms turned out to be an aggressive form of Stage 4 Esophageal cancer that has metastasized to his liver and spine. His diagnosis is inoperable and incurable but can be treated to manage symptoms.
Ben is not opting for treatment outside of steroid pills to help with the discomfort but even the necessary Dr. visits to monitor are adding up. Because of Ben's profession he is uninsured and does not qualify for Medicaid because of his current unemployment, which will also likely run out soon.
His pride and joy are his two kids, Jane and Casey and his granddaughter Reese.
Should you donate, proceeds will be used to fund the treatment, as well as to support him with ongoing care and medical costs along the way. We will also be setting up a College Fund for his Granddaughter Reese.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this.
Bev, Dan and Erica
Beverly Shimada, Ben's significant other and care taker will be the beneficiary of this account on Ben's behalf.
