Hello, we are reaching out to all Ironworker brothers and sisters to support our brother Cliff Labiche. Cliff is an Ironworker with Local 97 who’s been in the industry for 20+ year, he has worked on multiple projects throughout western Canada. Cliff is a hard worker and takes pride in his profession, he is a devoted partner and proud father of 2 teenage kids. He is also the soul provider for his family.
On Tuesday February 25, 2025 Cliff was involved in a terrible incident while at work involving a pneumatic winch. His injuries include multiple fractures in both his tibia, fibula as well as a shattered ankle and several fractures in his foot, his calcaneus (heel) is not attached to his tibia. He will need multiple surgeries including several plates and pins to rebuild his foot, ankle and shin. This recovery/rehabilitation process is going to take quite some time. His second surgery is scheduled hopefully this coming week, however as of now he is looking at a minimum of a month stay at the RCH which is very hard for him as well as his family both mentally as well as financially. We would like to thank all those able to help in advance even if it’s kind words. We thank you all for your tremendous support.
