Adams Fight against Kidney Disease

Adam Kenner is a 33 year old husband and father of two. When Adam was 17 years old he was rushed to the hospital with severe pain and diagnosed with polysystic kidney disease. This is a hereditary disease that unfortunately Adam was familiar with and there is no cure.  Polysystic kidney disease known as PKD is a disease where cysts develop and multiply over time taking over both kidneys and eventually cutting off the blood supply and shutting them down. Being familiar with PKD and watching his father and grandma go through this, Adam did everything he could to prolong this. He took his medicine, drank the right things and stayed away from anything that could harm or speed up the kidney disease.  Those of you that know adam know that his family is his life. He has always puts his kids first and makes sure that no matter how long he worked that day or how he was feeling he is at every important event and did whatever he had to so that they have what they need.  Back in June of 2014, when Adam was too tired to do things that mattered to him the flags went up and he went to his doctor knowing something was wrong. His kidney function was down to 20%. Over the next two months he quickly declined and his function dropped to 12% forcing him to do dialysis. Adam chose to do peritoneal dialysis so that he could still work and maintain his active life. Unfortunately, Adam is one of the rare people who did not do well with the machine and after complications forced his hand, he had to stop working  so that he could do dialysis manually 12 hours a day everyday. He has been blessed by an amazing friend who stepped up and is giving him a kidney on March 18, 2015. However, the financial burden is starting to be noticeable with Adam out of work. He needs to be able to recover properly which will require him to be home for several more months without working. Adam and his family need your help, no amount is too little.
