Only the People Save the People: Fury, Misery, and Despair

On October 25th, warnings of an unprecedented DANA storm were issued, but no further alerts were sounded. By the morning of October 29th, a severe weather emergency was declared, yet workers were still sent out as if it were an ordinary day. Catastrophe struck with fury, leaving destruction in its wake. Now, five days after the tragedy, state aid is finally arriving. Until now, Valencia’s residents have rallied together, providing critical relief entirely on their own. Equipped with brooms and supplies from their own homes, neighbors and locals have formed a community of resilience, sweeping away the debris of their beloved city and offering what little they have to those who have lost everything in the already stated as the worst catastrophe of the century in Europe.

We are sending this money to Red Cross, MAFRE's Campain and other organizations. Be very careful when sending donations for Valencia's emergency yourselves as there's been a lot of scam since the tragedy. Fake Red Cross collectors, etc. This is one of the main reasons why we decided to create a GoFundMe as a safe way to collect donations and make sure they are given to the right organizations.
