Opal Rose Trimble Medical Fund
Donation protected
Opal Rose Trimble, 5-month-old daughter of Josh and Gretchen Trimble, was diagnosed on March 2, 2019 with AFM (acute flaccid myelitis), a rare disease that is related to polio. This disease is relatively new, having been on the CDC’s radar since 2014. Opal is only the 3rd person in Oklahoma to be diagnosed with AFM. As a result of AFM, the mobility in her arms has been greatly reduced, as well as her ability to breathe on her own. The only treatments that are available are experimental, due to the "newness" of the disease itself. Currently, Opal is undergoing IVIG treatments. The associated costs with an extended hospital stay and ongoing treatments will continue to escalate. Please donate to this fund to assist in alleviating some of the stresses both emotionally and financially that the family will be facing in the coming weeks and months.
