Open a New Koshish School for Poor Children in Delhi Slums

Donation protected
In November I had the opportunity to visit a very special project in India called Koshish. Koshish is a school in the slums of Delhi that takes children from the lowest cast and poorest migrant families, and gives them the education and resources they need to enter the public school system and receive a proper education. Seeing firsthand how these children lives, and how their lives were changed and how much opportunity this provided for these kids, I immediately wanted to know how much it would cost to open another school and I was stunned to learn that the Delhi Megapolis Rotary Club was able to operate this school for only $2,400 USD per year. This covers the rent for the school building, the salary for the teacher, and all of the educational supplies they need to operate two classes a day for six days a week at the Koshish school. The experience brought me to tears, and I promised on the spot that I’d help open another school. I have worked on humanitarian projects all over the world, and this is the single best return on investment in humanity I have experienced. If I can raise $2400, we can open another Koshish school and give so many more children a future. This project is a slam dunk. I know and trust the partners that operate the school in India, and have worked with them on many other projects. I also intend to go back this year in the fall of 2025 and see the new school. Thanks everyone!
