Open first vegan sushi shop in Malta!
Donation protected
Hey hey to all sweet ppl in the world! Me and my partner are owners of a small vegan business in Malta. It's almost 1 year since we're open and it's been hell a great journey.
On a first lockdown both of us lost our jobs and were in a very weird situation. First of all we loved it because we could spend days and even weeks of doing nothing and watching Netflix but after 2 month we started to get really worried cz rent is bish eh eh and not so much savings we got left to continue any longer.
So as a vegan and a crazy person I've convinced my boo to open a vegan sushi take away place and after 7 days and 200 euro investment we've opened Green sushi and work hard on this project since then! It's a truly success story when life gives you lemons you may manage make lemonade. From first day of launch we got busy thanks to amazing vegan comunity in Malta what allowed us make and re-invest thousands of euro to be able to meet demand and add more and more positions in our menu. And more happy customers we had more interest was from media and in 3 month we were featured in a very popular local newspaper - https://lovinmalta.com/food/from-covid-19-unemployment-to-vegan-sushi-success-this-gzira-eatery-is-already-a-nation-favourite/
and not much later in Californian VegNews - https://vegnews.com/2020/7/malta-gets-its-first-vegan-sushi-takeout-restaurant
1 year ago we wouldn't believe if someone told us what is going to happen but here we're looking for fundraising to open up our first vegan sushi shop where people can dine in!
We are very humble guys and super happy with what we have and were never focused on profit only but how to make your business more sustainable and pay back our community. We weren't planning to jump into bigger scale https://www.instagram.com/green.sushi.mt/ production because it requires even more investment and risk but last night we watched Seaspiracy documentary on Netflix and decided that we should try to do our best to satisfy all demand on vegan sushi at least in Malta and do better for the world!
So please GoFundMe if you can!
