Open harp operation

3 days ago my musical companion of 3 years broke in two with a bang. It happened out of thin air. My only explanation: temperature changes. Although she is neatly tucked away from any sun rays, the temperatures have varied quite a bit lately. There is 400kg pressure on such a harp. The harp maker in northern Germany
(Klangschiff: soundship) said that after 9 years since its making she isn’t under guarantee anymore. He will repare it for 800€. My insurance doesn’t cover the costs and I don’t have the means to invest in it more than i have these last few years (new strings, check up...). This event is rare according to the expert.
So now I have two options:
A/ I stop playing, give my harp away and learn to play the didgeridoo instead.
B/ I continue, after a humbling pause, receiving your support and 2 trips across Germany
The picture above shows me playing for Kings, Queens and noblemen at a medieval banquet in Cologne 2 years ago.
With your contribution of 8€ , a hundred friends and benefactors would be enough to go for option B and play again for the little kings and queens that we all are :)
In deep gratitude for the celestial sounds MyLady Harp has offered so far and what ever comes my way.
