Open Kitchen Social Club Christmas Crowdfunder.

Since 2014, Open Kitchen Social Club has provided weekly community social eating events in Sheffield, where we offer hot food, peer support, a place to meet and opportunities to participate in the work we do. We work with asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and anyone in food, economic or social poverty.

In previous years, we have had Christmas crowdfunders to raise money for warm winter clothes and basic supplies for those seeking asylum with no recourse to public funds. This year, for the first time, we are raising funds so that we can open our doors on Christmas Day itself, and cook a full meal for 75 people in Sheffield city centre.

We need to raise £750 to pay for food, decorations, and presents for children. The money will also pay for a minibus and driver for the day, to ensure that our volunteers and more isolated individuals can make it, on a day when there is no public transport. If we receive extra funds, we will be able to buy more presents.
