Open Access Book: Russia-Ukraine War & Its Origin
Donation protected
I am crowdfunding to publish my book, entitled “From the Maidan to the Russia-Ukraine War,” as open access book. This book is already accepted for publication by a major Western academic press following very positive peer reviews. It is scheduled for publication in 2024. Publishing it as open access would make this book on the Russia-Ukraine war and its origins available for everyone to read, download, share, translate, and republish in whole or in part free of charge.
The fundraiser goal is $14,356 or CAD$19,455 out of CAD22,900. The difference would be covered by open-access publication grants from the University of Ottawa. The open-access publication fee for an individual chapter starts at CAD$2,471.
As a reward, the donors can get the e-book edition of my book on this crucial war and its origins. The crowdfunded amount would be paid to the book publisher, a top Western academic press, to cover the open access publication fees of my book. It would also be used to pay parts of open access publication fees to major peer-reviewed journals for my two articles on the Maidan massacre in Ukraine following very positive peer reviews. Parts of these articles would be republished in the open access book. This book is based on 10 years of my research, which I funded with my own money. I'll also forego my royalties for this open access book.
