The earthquake that took place on September 8th, 2023 in the Province of Morocco’s Al Haouz Region resulted in the need for immediate aid to be provided to mountain villages and local communities. A significant number of villages have been demolished and many roads are blocked by fallen debris. The populous is in URGENT NEED OF TEMPORARY HOUSING, clothing for winter survival and medical attention among other necessities. We are sending Convoy's Weekly to Remote Regions Weekly to Address those in need.

••• December 1st, 2023: We will begin offering options that include having your donation go to children's education, school books / supplies with the option to sponsor a child for $350/ Annually.

Where Your Donation Will Go:

All donations will be provided directly to local communities. Our team with on the ground access will distribute directly to people affected by the earthquake a myriad of essential supplies ranging from family tents, personal hygiene goods for women and girls, clothing. We will participate in making donations long term to assist in children being able to go to school.

About Alecia Cohen:

Alecia Cohen is the Owner of Travel Exploration Morocco, a travel agency specializing in Cultural Tours, Jewish Heritage Tours and customized trips to Morocco. Mrs. Cohen is an expert on Moroccan Culture, the domain of Magazine publishing and "world music". She is the Founder of Global Rhythm Magazine and former Associate Publisher of Zenbu Media Group. Mrs. Cohen has lectured at the World Bank on Culture and Sustainable Development in Africa and been featured in various print and TV ventures including CNN Financial News, Entrepreneurial Edge, Crain's and Entrepreneur. Travel Exploration has received several accolades and the winner of the World Travel Awards.

My Connection to Local Communities:

I have co-run with my Berber partner, Hossaine Amiri, Project Feed Morocco for the proceeding 10 years. Project Feed is a not-for-profit charity created to help sustainably feed villages and nomadic families in southern Morocco and fund agrarian projects that supports these villages economically. Project Feed Morocco is the charitable arm of Travel Exploration and receives 5% of all annual profits which benefit Berber villages in need.

We are now pivoting to Operation Morocco: Earthquake Relief as to offer direct local community grassroots support post the September 8th, 2023 Earthquake.
