Hello, my name is Caleb Gibson and I am fundraising to retain ownership of my puppy, Myla. The Irvine police arrested me for littering and my girlfriend at the time for possession. At the station, hours later, said that my puppy was “lathargic” and ended up taking her claiming that was anoverdose. My name and my girlfriends was plastered all over the news and we were painted as evil people who would give drugs to a puppy. Almost insinuating that the dog was overdosing when they got there…. MYLA’S URINE TESTED NEGATIVE for drugs at the vet, this was admitted by the seizing officer at the hearing but never mentioned in any of the media they put out about the case. LA times had asked them about it and they refused to comment. But if that test was positive then I’m sure they would have charged me with a crime. They are now holding her as “evidence” because if I can’t pay her boarding fees in full in 14 days she becomes property of the city of Irvine and can be youthanized if they feel like she is a liability or doesn’t get adopted quick enough. I’m a college student and as many of you know that is the time in one’s life where it’s fairly common to be tight on cash to say the least. Idk why they don’t want me to get my dog back but I know I’m not gonna let them get away with it without me being %100 sure i did absolutely everything I could of to make my little family whole again. If I fall short in the time allowed I’ll put the money towards legal representation and/or the appeal process. Thank you!

Looks like they won, they took my baby from me. I know this wouldn’t hold up in court if I had a lawyer. So I’m gonna find one no matter how it takes. Any help would mean the world to me.
