Operation Bun

If you know me, you will have certainly met my constant constant companion and best friend, Bun (Bunster, Rouge 1, Chichu, Scrappy etc). He is known by all of those names!! 

 Bun came into my life 5 years ago as a 12 week old puppy. It was love at first sight for me. He sat by my feet and that was it!  Instant connection and a little whirlwind... 

 

He gave me something to get up for, walk, care for and love. 

When he was a year old I was very ill with depression and without him I honestly do not know where I would be. I know I would not be writing this Go Fund Me Page. 

 

As most of you know Bun is always by my side and is my keeper of secrets and he gives unconditional love.  He is one in a million to me and has been a little therapy dog to the people I work with in the homeless community.

 

Bun had to have an emergency operation (last night). If it had not have been done I honestly would have been writing a very different message today. It was a case of 'if he doesn't have this operation'. You can only imagine my answer. It was instantly do what you need to do without a second thought as it is Bun.  My vet Paul at The Urban Vet in Earlsfield and Wolfe Vets in Chiswick have been incredible and they saved him.  

 

I work in the charity sector and have been throughout the pandemic. Bun has been a constant source of support to me and also to some of the homeless people I have worked with. He has become a little therapy dog without ever trying. He just sits and loves a cuddle which in turn helps people to open up and talk about what is happening in their life. He always seems to know when someone needs a bit of affection and love. 

 

The operation went well and Bun is slowly recovering. We are not out of the woods yet and he is having more scans today (Wednesday 1st December) .

 

His operation, treatment and care has cost a lot of money and I know that everyone is in the same boat through the pandemic. I would never, ever ask anyone and I find asking for help very difficult. So this is very hard for me to even ask.

 

If you could even donate a couple of £'s it all helps me get him back to full health and be there to support others the way he does I would be so grateful. We are a team myself and Bun and I cannot think of a world without him.
