OPERATION FOOD FIGHT

To everyone out there,
We hope you are all holding up OK, staying safe, and doing what you can to keep yourselves and those around you healthy.
We are launching this GoFundMe to rally support behind an initiative we kicked off to provide just a bit of a lift and support to our physicians assistants, nurses, doctors and staff on the front lines of this current health crisis.
We have been raising money to provide meal deliveries to hospitals around the New York City area. During brutal, 12+ hour shifts, often wearing the same personal protective equipment (PPE) as the day before and at times resorting to trash bags due to a lack of supplies, a morning or afternoon pick-me-up is just a small something to help get these health heroes through. There is often little or no time to stop and eat or hydrate while working to combat the virus.
In our first two weeks of fundraising we have raised close to $7,000, receiving contributions from 80+ individuals as we started on Venmo. Over $1,500 in deliveries have already been made to NYU Langone, NY Presbyterian, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Columbia University Medical Center, Mount Sinai and Lenox Hill hospital. Our goal is to raise enough so that we can expand outside of just Manhattan to the surrounding boroughs, and beyond. This is also a marathon, not a sprint, and we need to keep sustaining our healthcare workers as they continue the fight.
We realize this is a hard time for everyone and money is a large part of the uncertainty, but any amount you are willing to contribute would be greatly appreciated and would not go unused.
To get involved, you can contribute here to this fund, or DM @Patrick.tl or @Cm_dly on Instagram to get in touch with our organizers.
Also, if you or someone you know is one of these health heroes in the NYC area and could use a lift, let us know so that we can help. Please feel free to pass this along, and if you happen to have a company you think would get involved or a restaurant / food service that might be willing to chip in, we are very much open to these ideas.
Stay safe, stay healthy.
Best to all of you and your families,
