Operation for Shadow

Donation protected
Shadow would like to thank everyone who has donated, you all are so kind and it warms my heart that there are so many kind and caring people out there. I appreciated every single one of you guys!

UPDATE!!
Shadow operation was meant to be yesterday, but yet again it has been delayed. During the last two delays made by the vets, shadow operation price has now risen another £1,200. We were told that shadows operation would cost £3,538 altogether. They asked us who gave us that exact price, we told them that they did but of course they didn't believe us. So we have to wait to make another appointment for him.  But his fundraiser is still going so please, DONATE IF YOU CAN!

UPDATE!!
Shadows operation has been moved to the 2nd of November. The vet that will be doing his operation will not be in that day and has moved his operation day.

I am raising money to help my dog, Shadow, to get him an operation he desperately needs as soon as possible.

Shadow has a very rare condition, and has the worse case of hernias that the vets have seen.

Shadows condition means that his bladder is now on the outside of his body, and he struggles to do the toilet and gets really confused when he can't hold it due the muscles no longer working.

Shadow has had this problem for over a year and a half, none of the vets knew what his condition was till it got bad, so they did tests and took his bloods. To then be told that it was his bladder.

During lockdown shadow condition became really bad, he began to struggle more while doing the toilet, and every couple of months he would bleed from his bum quite badly. When we were able to see a vet we were told that Shadows condition couldn't be fixed, and they mentioned that we should think about euthanasia and gave us an appointment for the next day. We couldn't do that, and it was far too soon to think about that.  We wanted a second opinion so we visited PDSA were they had a good look over him and saw his problem straight away, they told us all about the treatment and operation he'd get.

They told us he'd get an ultrasound to see where his hernias were to then have them drained. Also to see if there are any other problems that could be causing him discomfort. He will then have his bladder pulled back into its rightful place and his anal muscle replaced with mesh to help him do that toilet. We were so glad to hear that he could be helped.

He is only coming 9 and he is still healthy and full of life despite this, but the condition is causing him discomfort, so it is upsetting and frustrating that I cannot afford the operation on my own.

He's not just a pet but he's the most important part of our family, he means the world to us and we would be so grateful if you could donate anything, big or small, to help us get Shadow his operation.

100% of the funds will go towards his operation, and anything extra will go towards any extra treatment he might need!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
