Hi everyone! For those of you new to my story, my name is Jenson Van Emburgh and I suffered a severe spinal cord injury at birth causing complete paralysis from my armpits down. I'm 23 years old have been a wheelchair user since one and a half years of age. At the age of ten, I found the sport of table tennis which has changed my life and given me purpose through the most difficult times. After overcoming numerous obstacles, including a life threatening spinal fusion in 2016, I have accomplished things I never had dreamed of and now the dream continues. As the #1 ranked wheelchair class 3 player in the US and all of the Americas, as well as the #4 ranked player in the world, I am now looking to win Gold at the upcoming Para French Open, the Para PanAmerican Games, and Gold in Paris in the 2024 Paralympics.

For those of you who have continually supported me in the past, I am eternally grateful. I thank YOU for you helping ME achieve many medals across the globe including Bronze in the Tokyo 2020(21)Paralympics and Silver at the 2022 World Championships. Most recently, I competed in the largest para tournament in history (Slovenia Open 2023) narrowly losing in the final to the reigning and 4 time paralympic champion from China. I also recently competed in the US Para Open and won a gold medal in singles and doubles.
