Help Jose Miguel get a heart transplant

Jose Miguel is a 19 year old young man from Monterrey, Mexico that has been suffering with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy since he was just 9 months old. Shortly after being born, he was in the NICU for 2 months for Pulmonary Sequestration; since then, he has had countless medical procedures and long hospital stays. Sadly, his sister passed 3 years ago at age 13 from the same diagnosis. 

3 weeks ago he fainted and was urgently taken to the hospital where he was admitted and has been in “La Unidad Médica de Alta Especialidad No.34” in the intensive care unit. His condition is progressively getting worse and he was intubated twice and is in urgent need of a heart transplant, currently on the waitlist.

During this difficult time his family is struggling financially. Jose Miguel, as well as his mother and sister, had to stop working and all of their finances have fallen onto his father. Jose Miguel has always been a fighter and is still in great spirit through it all. Please we ask that you consider contributing whatever you can to assist us in covering these ongoing expenses. Jose Miguel es un joven de 19 años originario de Monterrey, México, que ha estado sufriendo de miocardiopatía hipertrófica desde que tenía apenas 9 meses de edad. Poco después de nacer, estuvo en la UCI neonatal durante 2 meses debido a un secuestro pulmonar; desde entonces, ha pasado por innumerables procedimientos médicos y largas estancias hospitalarias. Tristemente su hermana falleció hace 3 años a la edad de 13, muerte causada por el mismo padecimiento

Hace 3 semanas se desmayó y fue llevado urgentemente al hospital, donde fue ingresado en la Unidad Médica de Alta Especialidad No.34 en la unidad de cuidados intensivos. Su condición estuvo empeorando progresivamente y ha sido intubado dos veces; actualmente, está en lista de espera para un trasplante de corazón.

Durante este difícil momento, su familia está enfrentando dificultades financieras. Jose Miguel, su madre y su hermana han tenido que dejar de trabajar, y todas las responsabilidades financieras recaen ahora sobre su padre. Jose Miguel siempre ha sido un luchador y mantiene un gran espíritu a pesar de todo.
