Operation International: Restore Vision - Uganda

Operational International: Restore Vision is an organization that brings the life changing gift of vision to those suffering in underserved countries that do not have access to healthcare to treat debilitating occular diseases that lead to loss of vision up to and including total blindness. In 2019, Drs. Alexander Barash and Seth Meskin, took over the leadership of the team with the help of Drs. Gaurang Trivedi and Sushant Chafekar, where they traveled to Rakai, Uganda to establish the first eye center there.

I have joined Operation International: Restore Vision in their efforts and will be traveling to the eye center in Rakai, Uganda to provide anesthesia for these life changing surgeries. Upon our departure we will be leaving medical supplies and shoes for the locals.

A large part of our efforts are supported by donations from those that feel the same pull as we do to help those in need and those that understand that the power of sight can affect things like the ability to find employment, support a family, and even provide for one's own survival and activities of daily living. It is my hope to raise $4500 over the next month to aid in this mission trip and to participate in experiencing Uganda and Kenya.
