Operation Restore Vision - Ghana 2023

Hello! If you know me, you know my love of Surgical Mission Trips! This particular team - Operation Restore Vision - is truly one of a kind. Cataract is the leading cause of avoidable blindness and vision loss in the world.  Last year I was able to travel with the team to Uganda, Africa where the team performed almost 200 vision restoring cataract surgeries in just five days! There are no words to describe the moment when the patient's bandage is removed and they realize that after years of blindness, they can see. This year the team is headed to Ghana, Africa where we will hopefully restore vision to over 400 patients in six days.
