Operation Save Curt
Donation protected
Recently, Curt was able to get a spot in a tiny house village in Portland which is a great intermediate step to getting back on his feet. Or at least it would have been. At Christmas, Curt and his neighbors found out that because of a lack of funding, the organization that runs the place has to shut it down and he has less than 30 days at this point to find a new place to live or go back to living on the streets. This can't happen and it won't happen if our mutual friends and I have anything to do with it.
We need to raise around $20K. By my best estimation that should help Curt buy a plane ticket back to Texas, where he has folks who have offered to let him stay with them temporarily. This should also allow him to purchase a reliable used car so he can look for work, and also provide him a bit to live on. The goal is to provide Curt with a metaphorical "ladder" so he can reach and push the reset button on his life. All funds (minus the Gofundme fees) will go directly to Curt, and I'll be posting updates as much as possible.
Curt's a good and decent man. He's lived at times a brutal life that would have felled many of us, but he keeps getting up off the mat. Now he's fallen on rough times. There but for the grace of the gods go we. Help us to get a good man and a good friend the reset that he needs. Thank you for your help.
