As most of you know, Josh lives with a condition that affects his stature as well as his digits & teeth. Something that would change his life almost overnight would be if he could smile (eat, perform, speak) without feeling self-concious of his smile or teeth showing.
1/14/21 - Meet with cosmetic dentist for initial consult, x-rays and mouth exam.
1/27/21 - Follow up consultation with doc to determine options (implants vs. bridges) discuss budget and choose a plan of action!

Those of you who know Josh Regalado, aka Oscar Goldman, understand how much he dedicates himself to helping others stay afloat & comfortable in life, despite facing much adversity of his own. I'm starting this fundraiser in hope that some of his kindness & selflessness may be reciprocated to him, or maybe we can at least get the ball rolling on a much deserved series of events for him.
As most of you know, Josh lives with a condition that affects his stature as well as his digits & teeth. Something that would change his life almost overnight would be if he could smile (eat, perform, speak) without feeling self-concious of his smile or teeth showing.
This would mean full-mouth reconstructive procedure(s) carried out by a cosmetic dentist. The money donated here would be used to consult with a doctor, pay for x-rays/molds of Josh's mouth, to extract any/all current teeth, and then pay for the surgeries and/or procedures recommended by the doc & chosen by Josh.
Anesthesia before surgery & medication for the weeks following procedures will also be a factor because this process is not covered by insurance at all.
Josh is about to take some major steps forward in both his career as an artist and his career in real estate. Getting these procedures done would absolutely boost his confidence & his ability to genuinely smile how he wants to when he is around people. I know that it would transform the way he sees himself and change his life overnight.
Josh has applied for dental grants, but is currently unsure of exactly how much they will cover or if he will qualify for any relief at all. He has decided to pursue this dream in the United States (as opposed to much cheaper options abroad) because we don't believe it's responsible or safe to travel outside of the country with the current pandemic situation.
The cost is high because we are trying to obtain the least problematic (best quality) choice of materials for his teeth...and Josh's case will require work on every quadrant of his mouth.
It's a huge goal, but I know we can pull together and help him accomplish this soon.
Those who have ever been around Josh know how he goes out of his way to make the world a little easier to navigate for people around him, right down to giving you his leftovers on the street or just being present and empathetic with his friends and loved ones. Let's try to make him a little more comfortable in this world by supporting his dream of a confident smile!
All donations will go directly to Josh for appointments and procedures related to the dental implants. We will continue to save until we have enough to accomplish each step of the process with a qualified and safe doctor.
1/14/21 - Meet with cosmetic dentist for initial consult, x-rays and mouth exam.
1/27/21 - Follow up consultation with doc to determine options (implants vs. bridges) discuss budget and choose a plan of action!
*Will update the goal amount after this appointment
2/1/21 - Josh met with the doc again & chose dental implants as his plan of action. More info in the most recent update.
2/15/21 - Josh received a written treatment plan and photos of his teeth before any treatment. I've attached them below.
*Now we are just saving saving saving until we can pay for the process in full. Each donation is being meticulously saved for the day we go in & can pay in full. We want to avoid any inability to go forward with treatment because of money. Thank you all so much for getting us this far!!
I want anyone who is thinking about making a donation to understand that Josh's teeth are this way because of genetics and not because of neglect or mistreatment. These photos just don't represent how much he actually cares for his teeth.
Thank you for thinking about supporting Josh, aka Oscar Goldman! We appreciate every donation and every single human who has decided to support this dream.
