Hello! My name is Amaya. I'm 17 years old. Over the summer I did a program called Girls Who Code which is a movement dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology related fields! GWC inspired me to take what I learned and to share it with others. During Christmas I visited a village in Kenya called Amboseli. There I met so many children who were extremely fascinated by the technology they saw. They loved taking pictures and playing games on phones. I have decided to take computer science education to the children who have no access to it whatsoever. By 2030 Nairobi is projected to have a world class metropolis.
My goal is to have educated the children in areas like Amboseli so they have enough experience to start a career and support their families in ways never possible to them before.
I am raising money for laptops, solar panels, and internet access for the children.
