Opportunity to race on the World stage in Europe!

My name is Sophia Ervington and I love riding, racing and everything to do with bikes! I am a 17-year-old female athlete who races both disciplines of Downhill and enduro mountain biking. I have been racing for the past 2 years, and have rapidly worked my way to the top of my categories on both a provincial and national level. This past season, I placed 2nd at Enduro Nationals and claimed the overall junior BC Cup DH title, as well as a 4th place at Downhill Nationals

Currently, in the off-season, I spend my days working hard between finishing my Grade 12 year of school and training for this upcoming season of racing.

For the 2023 season, I have received the opportunity to go race at an international level in Europe. I will be riding on board the Blueprint race team, where I will have the support of my coach, a mechanic and teammates overseas. With this opportunity, I now need to take action to raise funds to make this happen.

My 2023 race season looks like this:

My first round of racing starts at the end of May. I will start with an Enduro World Series race in Italy, then a Downhill World Cup in Switzerland, and finally, another DH World Cup in Austria. I will be travelling with my coach and team for 3 intensive weeks and trying my best to place on the podium at these events.

During July, I will be focusing on racing in British Columbia, competing in DH races and Crankworx Whistler. And, in August, I will be heading to Scotland to compete in the Downhill World Championships and represent Canada!

At the end of the summer, I am heading back for 3 weeks to France, where I will compete in three more World Cup Downhill races with my team.

The fundraising will go directly towards my travel expenses such as airfare, accommodation, food, and transportation, as well as, race fees.

I have some sponsorship support that helps me with having the best equipment and gear to be able to ride however, these sponsorships do not cover any travel-related expenses or fees associated with race events. I can not reach my goals without the help of my family, friends, and community so I appreciate any donation you can make as every bit helps.
