Orange County Bail Fund
Donation protected
The Orange County Bail Fund pays criminal bail bond for those who cannot afford to. We are getting as many people out as we can from county jails as bailing protesters out has become a matter of life and death during this pandemic. We are not able to provide legal services, but can help to find legal resources.
We have taken to the streets to protest the state sanctioned murder of black people and our most vulnerable communities. And we stand behind those who are putting themselves on the front lines. This fund will be used for bail relief and other necessary resources.
If someone you know is in need of help please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/4g7KRFMvv5SC9BAH6
After the form is filled we will distribute the amount we are able to via the recipient's preferred method (i.e. venmo, paypal, zelle, etc).
We are also taking a proactive approach and going directly to jails and other detention centers to talk to families and ask if they need our help. We will also be posting flyers regarding this fund around the county. We hope that through this approach the accessibility of the fund is not limited to those with social media.
We are a group of organizers in Orange County, primarily within the Orange County Democratic Socialists of America. We saw a need in Orange County for a fund to help the protesters who have been detained in our county as no fund currently exists that isn't geared mainly towards detained immigrants, and we did not want to take from another marginalized group.
If any funds are not used, we will donate the remaining funds to Survived and Punished (link below) and/or bail funds around the country who are still in need of funds.
