Orange CYMS Junior Rugby League Football Club

On Friday 13th May 2022 our hearts were broken with the sudden loss of one of our treasured Under 11 CYMS Juniors players, Abe Maki.

Abe”s infectious smile, his bright and bubbly nature, and his great enthusiasm for rugby league, saw him play a major role in any team he played in. A well mannered, popular young boy amongst not only our club, but also his school and other sporting groups in town. Abe’s loss has sent absolute shockwaves through not only our CYMS family, but also the wider Orange community.

Our CYMS club is working very closely with Abe’s family to support them as much as we possibly can at this sad time. We have had numerous enquiries from our club families and local community asking how people can assist Abe’s family, which has seen this gofundme page established.

The purpose of the funds will be to assist with a beautiful service to celebrate Abe’s time with us, along with supporting his direct family and siblings moving forward. All funds donated will be controlled by Orange CYMS Junior Rugby League Football Club Incorporated of which Nerissa Clarke (Organiser of this fundraiser) is Secretary/ Managing Financial Member of. 

Our CYMS club is also here to support our wider community during this difficult time – please do not hesitate to reach out to the club – it’s our CYMS way that our rugby league family wraps their arms around each other in times of need.
