OrCam MyEye Pro for Beth Godfrey

Hey everybody my name is Olivia and we are fundraising for my mom, Beth. We have found a device that we think could be very beneficial for her every day life.

As many of you know my mom has been legally blind since birth. She was born premature and the oxygen in the incubator burned her eyes. God has shown her much grace through the years and has been fortunate to receive many tools to help her through life.

My mom has been blessed with a wonderful family and community to support her. We want to thank everybody that can help us to reach our goals, whether it be through contributions or prayers.

The device that we are raising money for is called the OrCam MyEye Pro. “It is an intuitive portable device with a smart camera mounted on the frame of any pair of eyeglasses. The device uses the power of Artificial Vision to assist people who are living with vision loss. It is a tool for blind people to become more aware of their surroundings. By audio description provided by the device, users can become more independent in their day to day life.”

“It can read texts, recognize faces, identify products, barcodes, and colors. One can even ask the device to direct them to doors and objects. It provides information about their surroundings to the level that no other tool for the blind or visually impaired is currently capable of.“
