Take Action Against IPV: Order of Judith

The Book of Judith tells the story of a woman bravely facing and defeating the man oppressing her and her kin. Taking inspiration from this story of feminine heroism, the Order of Judith Fund aims to support women escaping intimate partner violence (IPV). Between 80-90% of funds collected will go to a specific woman currently escaping and building a new life, while the remaining 10-20% will be divided between ongoing expenses for Order of Judith fundraising and building a fund to support other women.

The first woman we are helping made the brave decision to leave her abusive husband to build a better life for her and her son. In a few short months, she has acquired her driver’s license, left, found a safe place to live, caught up her son and herself on medical needs after years of medical neglect, and bravely faced her abuser in court to secure an order of protection.

She is pursuing employment and education to create the brightest future possible for them. Your donation helps make this possible, while also helping build a brighter future for other women and children making similar brave choices.

Money directed to this woman will be used to fund:

-Legal fees to secure the best possible custody arrangement to continue to protect the mother and child

-Medical debt

-Tuition for midlife career transition

-Emergency expenses for rebuilding a new life (car repairs or expenses, illnesses, etc)
