Hello to all of our friends & family,
On March 23rd, 2020 we made the difficult decision to close our doors of The Oread Hotel until the COVID-19 crisis is over. Like many hospitality companies, the vast majority of our team members who work hard to enrich the lives of our guests - have been put on furlough & find themselves suddenly without work for the foreseeable future.
We have created this fund for anyone who would like to directly help our staff get through this difficult time. 100% of the donations made will go to our employees to help make up for part of their lost income because of our forced closure. This includes kitchen cooks, server, bartenders, housekeepers, front desk, valets, laundry and banquets. All of these departments work hand in hand for our fun KU Gamedays, Rooftop Weddings, Fabulous Buffets, Live Music on The Nest, exquisite dining at On The Hill that make a stay or visit to The Oread so wonderful.
We know this is a challenging time for everyone and we are only asking donations from those who have the financial means to do so. Please consider sharing this fund if unable to donate. We would love to hear of your favorite moments spent at our hotel & the staff members that made your visit extra special!
We will continue to follow the CDC's guidelines as they become available & can't wait to welcome our hard-working staff & amazing guest back through our doors as soon as it is safe.
