Oren Miller Court Fund to Appeal

My name is Angie Fox. Most of you know the story as to how we got to where we are here. Oren was to be tried for perjury and if you were in the courtroom, you know the case was made about Sunshine Laws. The case was about phone calls. So many other things were thrown into the trial, it was hard to tell what it was about.

This has been a witch hunt from the beginning, and they finally got him in jail. From day one The Daily Sun posted hate articles about Oren and Gary. Daily! Many of them were lies. They want to put him away for five years in prison. He only wanted to help the residents of Sumter County.

Oren worked to raise the impact fees to lower taxes, he worked to make the Animal Shelter No-Kill, He worked very hard to put Reverse One Sumter on the ballot so that people could vote for how they wanted to vote for their commissioners, and he worked to make the meetings at 7:00 pm so that everyone could go. As you know, now that they were able to get rid of him, all that is gone.

Yes, they offered him plea deals. NO, he didn't take them. Why should he take a plea when he didn't do anything wrong. Well... he did, He didn't remember what conversations were about or how many phone calls he had with another commissioner. They are allowed to talk.

Now, Oren is in jail for three weeks. I’m in shock the jury voted the way they did I’m in more shock they put him in jail. This man never even had a parking ticket at 72 years old. He is not a flight risk.

There has been more going on in the background that we have not talked about. He has been attacked relentlessly. Gary testified he was threatened relentlessly, so has Oren been attacked. Not just publicly in the Developer’s paper, but also in the background.

I have to ask yet again for your help. They would love to see us crash and burn to have to move. This is our home. We have friends here. We don’t want to move.
