Assist to fund Ore's Business School Tuition

Gaining admission into business school to study Human Resources Management/International Management has been the best feeling so far. According to experts, about 80% of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria fail within the first five years of their existence due to lack of management experience and other wrong business practices.

I have been passionate about business since my 2nd year of undergraduate study, when I started leveraging social media in selling petty items to raise additional income to fund my education, and later going on to secure employment as one of the very first sales representatives with Jumia, the largest e-commerce company in Africa, whilst still in the university.

I came to understand the important role effective management plays in the overall success of any organisation.

My goal is to promote sustainability in Nigerian organisations through the proper workforce management, understanding and application of sound business ethics as well as corporate responsibility.

During my free time, I volunteer with a number of NGOs including The Destiny Trust Foundation focused on helping and making an impact in the lives of homeless children and other young people by educating, empowering and caring for them. I believe that with better opportunities, there is so much children can achieve and all they need is a chance.

Being from a middle class Nigerian family, my parents have always pushed us to do our very best in every aspect of our lives, regardless of any circumstance. I lost my mother in 2016 because we could not afford the very best healthcare for her when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2014. Despite this, I wrote the Call to the Nigerian Bar examinations a few months after her passing and attained excellent grades through hard-work and the determination to succeed without allowing external factors affect my studies.

I hope to inspire other students from Nigeria to pursue studies abroad by setting up a fund from which scholarships would be awarded to students from Nigeria who have managed to strive through difficult times whilst studying.

I am very motivated by the prospects of furthering my education and contributing to shaping the future of management globally and it would be an honor to raise all the funds needed to fund my study at the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics, National University of Ireland.

I require £18,000 (transaction costs inclusive) as there are no sufficient/ fully funded scholarships for my course/school and the Covid situation has significantly affected the business of my would-have-been sponsor.

I understand that these are generally terrible times for people financially (due to the global pandemic being faced), but this is really my best option.

No amount is too small to reach this goal.

Thank you and God bless you all!
