A festival for children who fled Ukraine!

Edit 07/09. You are incredible! We already reached the goal of 1200 euro. Since many are still interested in helping us, we set a new goal - 2000 euro. All money not spent on the festival organisation will be used for humanitarian aid initiatives

Hi there! I am Anna Greszta and I organize this fundraiser on behalf of Collect4Ukraine group, of which I am a member. We are a grassroots volunteer collective that organizes fundraising events to help people and animals in Ukraine. To learn more about our activities, please check our Instagram! Since March 2022, we came together to help as we can. The humanitarian and tactical aid for Ukraine is crucial but we also try to not turn a blind eye to our guests in the Netherlands - people who have fled the war and found their refuge among us: in Amsterdam, den Hague, Groningen, and many other corners of the country.

To make them feel welcome, we decided to organize the Children’s Festival - a day full of fun, games, food, music, and workshops - all for free - for families who have relocated due to the war. Last year, the first edition of the festival took place at the yard of Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam; the school helped us a lot by lending electricity, tables, chairs, and other things needed, including a part of the funding for the festival! This year, the festival will be organized at the same place, yet we need your help to collect funds for the organization - buying food, art and games supplies, decorations, etc.

We believe that with your help we can repeat the success of the first edition which proved to be an uplifting and beautiful day of community building, empathy, and: simply, fun.
