Helping People with Taste and Smell Loss

We represent just a few of the millions of Americans that suffer from smell loss and taste dysfunction. Coronavirus has brought our invisible condition to light since one of the earliest symptoms is complete or partial loss of taste or smell. While many will regain their smell and taste, 10 – 15% of COVID-19 patients will likely experience long-term permanent loss.

Losing one or two of your senses has major implications for your quality of life, safety and health. Being able to taste and smell is central to a person’s identity and memories, and many aspects of daily life, emotional well-being, and wellness.

To bring more awareness, increase research and help identify treatments, we have formed - STANA - a patient advocacy group for people suffering from taste and smell loss in North America. https://thestana.org/
