What is Orienteering Sounds?

Orienteering Sounds is a sound installation concept consisting of several checkpoints in public space where you can co-create soundscapes with found objects. You can also take part in soundwalks and performances over the week. The project was premiered at Värmeverket in Bredäng (Stockholm) in 2023.

Orienteering Sounds this year includes three elements:

Soundwalks
Performances

Who am I?

Hi, I'm Raphaela and I'm a multi-disciplinary artist and entrepreneur. I'm presenting the Orienteering Sounds art project at Stockholm and Gothenburg Fringe Festivals this summer, to both of which I've been invited to present this project.

Why am I fundraising?

In order to stage Orienteering Sounds again this year, I need to raise money to cover the costs of production, logistics and accommodation. Fringe festivals are organized on the principle of self-management and autonomy, and artists need to raise and manage their own production costs.

Where are the sound installations?

The sound installations are scattered around Södermalm (Stockholm) and Masthugget (Gothenburg) during the same dates as the soundwalks and performances.
