Orisa Lifestyle Academy in Abeokuta

Since 2003, the Orisa Lifestyle Academy has provided high quality learning experiences for school aged children and families in the United States of America. Now, to commemorate TWENTY YEARS of dedication to teaching Yoruba tradition and culture, the Orisa Lifestyle Academy is building our first school in Africa.

Our focus is on service learning, which combines academic objectives with community service in order to provide a pragmatic, progressive learning experience while meeting the real needs of the local orisa community. Our strategy is to assess the needs of the Abeokuta orisa community and assign skilled African Americans to teach practical lessons. It matters to us to uphold our African culture of strong brotherhood and provide opportunities that demonstrate the utmost respect for the isese tradition.
