Oronsaye (Jeff) funeral organised by friends

Oronsaye was waiting to start work with the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust as a qualified nurse when he started feeling unwell in January, 2021 after testing positive to Covid 19.

 

 Oronsaye was in coma at North Manchester General Hospital when his final results and NMC PIN came out. Unfortunately, oronsaye never woke up from coma to see his NMC PIN and his MSc certificate which he worked so hard for; he died of covid on 11th February leaving behind his wife and 4 children with the youngest aged 2 and 4 years old respectively.

 

 Oronsaye worked throughout the pandemic both as a student nurse and a mental health support worker doing what he loved the most; caring for patients. 

 

If there was one thing Oronsaye looked forward to, it was the day he will start working as a qualified nurse, but, after he had fulfilled all the requirements and received his PIN, he never had the opportunity to practice as a qualified nurse for even one day. 

Prior to his death, Oronsaye dedicated nearly 10 years of his life working in the NHS as a support worker supporting mental health patients. 

 

His family, friends and colleagues will remember Oronsaye as a selfless and compassionate individual who puts others first. 

 

We are hoping to raise some funds to support Oronsaye's young family through this difficult time by setting up this fundraiser for them. 

 

 This will in no way make up for the loss of Oronsaye but it will help the wife to provide the children with the immediate and ongoing financial support they may need following his death.
