Orphanage of Hope Children's Home
Donation protected
On our recent trip to Bali, we visited The Orphanage of Hope Children's Home. Our friend Robyn has been visiting and helping where possible for 15 years and has seen the children go from nothing to the home sending them to university, we have now discovered the children are being evicted in August as the owners of the building who promised they could stay forever have now decided they want the building and land back to be developed.
We have a goal to help raise the funds to build new buildings on a new parcel of land across the road from the old building, the work has already slowly begun with a plan to build seven bedrooms each with a toilet and shower for the children, then a common room, kitchen and more bedrooms will come later.
This is an ongoing campaign
Both Amanda and I will personally deliver the funds and purchase the materials required. Our vision is that every dollar meant for this project makes it into the right hands.
Below is some information the Mumma of The Orphanage of Hope Children's Home has provided us so everyone understands the history of the children home and what is happening now.
History of the Orphanage
In 1973 Pastor Daniel retired from the Church. Although he has retired from ministry in the Church he remains willing to serve the Lord even if not in the Church. Pastor Daniel promised to God that as long as his feet were still able to walk and his mouth could still speak, he would still serve God. The verse on which the orphanage is based is the Bible Matthew 25:40, which reads: "What you do to the abject even is what you do to Me (Lord)".
Because many children are disadvantaged or poor, unable to go to school, Pastor Daniel and his wife Mrs. Ni Made Dug Dug with their faith established an orphanage in 1974 with 8 children. He used his pension money to finance all the needs of the children. This orphanage is independent because no organization helps. As the day progressed, guests began arriving to visit the orphanage and bring a small donation. From year to year, the number of foster children is increasing and help also comes from visitors who know information about our orphanage.
Until now Hope Children's Home orphanage can keep going even though sometimes we have to shed tears so that children can still go to school, eat and so on. Until now we are still running because of the help of the visitors who come and donate food, clothing and money.
From get started until now, the children we have is about 700 person. Many of them already get succeed and could help to give some donation to this orphanage. Start from 1999 Pastor Ketut Daniel let her daughter Rev. Nyoman Trisnawathy to manage this Orphanage, until today on 2015 the kids we have is 64 children which is the age around 1,5 years old until 23 years old.
Explains that we can say, I really hope that our foster child sponsors to comply all their needs in order toguarantee of the quality of their lives.
Hopefully we can treat them as well as children in general who are around them, so that they continue to feelloved, although not of their own biological parents. I wish the Lord always bless all the good things you have done for the children in this orphanage.
We are get a new building from Holland people in 2009 but after finished and we only stay one year, they come to our home and want to take it back. We are brought to the Court in 2010, we win for one time and loose for two times, until 20 April 2017 we lose at the Court and we must move from our orphanage. They give us time until August 2018 to move from our orphanage.
Please help us in prayer for the construction of our new house to be done smoothly and quickly completed. We will do everything in our power to build and surrender to God for the development process to be streamlined. If we calculate the total we need for the material and cost of handyman to finish about Three Hundred Million Rupiah or $ 30.000. But for now the construction process we were forced to stop because it can not pay the cost of the builder Rp. 7.500.000 and we also have to buy a paralon pipe for the bathroom because it must be planted underground, at a price of Rp. 15,000,000 for the purchase of a complete pipe with its mounting equipment.
We implore you very much to assist us in these costs, as we must immediately proceed with the construction of 7 temporary rooms first. If it has been completed, we will continue to make the foundation for 7 more rooms.
