Courtney's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On February 25, 2015, Courtney Kowalkowski (daughter, sister, mother, auntie, niece, cousin, granddaughter, significant-other and friend) suffered a catostrophic life-changing work related injury when a piece of equipment fell on her. She underwent major back surgery in an effort to fuse together her crushed vertebrae and badly damaged spinal cord. She no doubt has a very tough road ahead of her as do her children and the rest of her family.
Courtney is a busy single mom to 2 great kids, Hannah (15) and Nolan (12). She worked a modified schedule that allowed her to be home with her kids as much as possible.
Courtney loves to be outdoors, whether it be camping, riding horses or chopping fire wood...Yes she enjoys firing up the chainsaw!
Those of you who know and love Courtney, know she isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, often for fun! She is a very hard working machinist and mechanic who worked an average of 55 hours most weeks. She is extremely independent and an all around tough chick. With the road ahead she is now facing will come a lot of challenges and expenses that will be hard to bear.
We are seeking donations in an effort to help cover many of those expenses that will occur in her recovery and getting her home and moving forward from this heartbreaking event.
Courtney wants nothing more than to get back to her kids and living her life. She has the strength, independence and will power to push through the challenges that lie ahead for her.
