Oscar breaks a leg... literally.

To know Oscar is to love him. He's quick with a smile, positive and eternally optimistic. He is known as the Mayor of The Long Island Bar for a good reason: he remembers you and greets you with a fist bump or a hug or a handshake, chats you up, and treats you with genuine kindness. And now it's time for us to repay his kindness with some of our own.
Last week while jogging through Prospect Park, Oscar fell and broke his leg in three places. He's had surgery to put three metal plates in and is now home recovering. This unfortunate accident will keep him from working for some time; he will need time to heal, then physical therapy. Not only will there be the loss of wages to contend with, but he will also have a pile of medical bills.
We, his friends and coworkers, have helped to build this site for him so that he can continue to pay his rent, buy groceries, and make a dent in some of the medical bills that will be coming. Please, will you help Oscar get back on his feet again?
