Oscar Bryce
Many of you already know but for those of you who don't, Oscar age 10 has been diagnosed with a Hemangioma tumor in his spine. Its positioned in the upper part between his shoulder blades. The tumor is non cancerous but full of blood vessels so very difficult to operate on. It has been pressing on his spinal cord causing him to lose some control over his lower extremities. We got him into Drs within 3 weeks of the symptoms showing up and he was admitted to BC Childrens Hospital on Saturday Nov 5th. He had his first surgery on Monday Nov 7th to have the tumor biopsied. It was confirmed yesterday that it is a Hemangioma. The Drs are working very hard to assemble the best team to do his removal surgery next week.
We ask that you please send your prayers his way and for the Drs success.
Oscar is doing amazing, his spirits are high and hes joking around and having fun. Hes played a ton of video games and watched lots of movies and even made slime with the volunteers here. The hospital has therapy pets come in that he gets to see and snuggle with as well! He is very nervous and extremely scared of needles but he has been a trooper with all of it.
Please help reach our goal to help the local Ladysmith family cover monthly expenses encured with the tragedy of this medical emergency. Any thing you can do to help this family is appreciated.
