Osgood Mini Park Revitalization

Donation protected
"We at Iron Timbers are currently working on a project within our community to revitalize the downtown Osgood mini park. The entire park will be revamped with brand new landscaping and a large 40-foot interactive sculpture of the word "OSGOOD" made by us at Iron Timbers out of Steel, Teak Wood, and Hammered Copper. We originally applied for a grant through the Reynolds Foundation to fund the cost of materials to build the sculpture and to our surprise they graciously awarded us enough funds for the sculpture and landscaping costs for the entire park! We here at Iron Timbers are committed and very passionate about this community so we will be donating all our time and labor to build this awesome sculpture. The park is going to be such a great addition to the community with not only this great new interactive sculpture, but also so much more seating and space for people to hang out and enjoy! Being that the sculpture and landscaping has been funded in its entirety by the Reynolds Foundation, one aspect that we believe is also equally important is the northern facing wall of Taylor's Tae Kwon Do. As you can see in the vision video we provided, this wall is the perfect place to utilize a show stopping mural. We visualize this mural to cover the entire wall with the overall idea being to establish a diminishing point of view that gives the park a visual aspect of appearing larger than it really is with an incredible landscape themed painting.  If you don't know the name Robert Dafford, who is a world-famous muralist that painted the 1/3-mile-long levee wall in Portsmouth, OH, then I suggest that you look him and his murals up. We have been in contact with Robert over the past couple weeks and he has informed us that he is available to make this mural happen this fall. In fact, the overall goal of completion for the landscaping and sculpture is Bricktoberfest of this year. Yes, you read that right! The landscaping is scheduled to begin sometime around mid-June and take roughly 4-5 weeks and the sculpture will be coming in after around the mid-September timeline. The exterior wall of Taylor's is a framed wall with vinyl siding that will need to be completely stripped and remodeled using an exterior friendly surface that takes paint well. Between the remodel of the wall and cost of the mural, we estimate that we need to raise an additional $50,000 on top of the money that the Reynolds Foundation has awarded. There will be over 2300+ square foot of new red brick that flow through all directions of the park. Any donation is very much appreciated and for each $100 donation you will be able to get your name engraved on a brick that will rest in the park for many years to come. The cutoff date for brick donations is June 30th. If you happen to be a $100 donor, please follow the link below to fill out the form regarding what you want your brick to say. We will also be accepting larger donations that will be recognized in another special way, so if you have interest in that please feel free to reach out to us by phone or email. Together we can keep improving our small hometown for the betterment of the future!"
