Help OSU Boxing Go To Nationals!
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Kyle Stadler and I'm the president-elect of one of the largest collegiate boxing clubs in the country.
We're looking for donations to send 4 of our amazing competition fighters to the National Collegiate Boxing Association Nationals from April 13-15th in Charlotte, NC! This is an opportunity to bring championship belts to Columbus!
The club took a big hit over COVID and we were unable to function for nearly 2 years. As such, we lost out on competition and, most importantly, money. This is due to Ohio State allocating funds to clubs on different tiers, with the competition tier receiving the most allocation by a sizable margin. Unfortunately, due to COVID and boxing competition restrictions, the club is not currently in the competition tier making us largely cut off from university funding.
A majority of our funding comes from club dues and fundraising events. Ultimately, this is not enough to finance a professional boxing coach 4 days a week and travel expenses for competitions.
The $4,000 will used for transportation, lodging, and coaching/other fighting expenses.
Here’s who we're fundraising to send to Nationals!
Eddie Kubit is new to the fight scene this year. He holds a record of 2-1 at 165 and is an absolute dog. He's also my roommate so you can trust me when I say this guy always takes out the trash and does his dishes too!
Rounding out the Eds of the club is Eddie Son! Son holds a record of 3-1 at 185 and is the hardest body puncher I know.
Next up is Giaminh Nguyen! G holds a record of 3-3 and is competing in the 125 weight class, he's one shifty fella.
Lastly is Ryan Clancy! Ryan holds a record of 13-6 and is our most experienced fighter, dudes a killer at 195.
Any contribution will be greatly appreciated! This competition is a rare opportunity to bring championship belts to The Ohio State University!!
