Otis Hurricane - Acapulco will recover
Donation protected
Your Donation will help buy:
- Equipment , renting heavy machinery to clean up homes and streets, Basic tools to gain access to affected areas and remove debris, tools to rebuild and reconnect electrical services.
- Medical Supplies - All the population is in need of basic emergency services and supplies. (Children and families need medicine to avoid common viral diseases associated with living in unsanitary environments. The elderly people and those with special needs loose all their medical supplies and equipment to aid in their health)
- Hygiene products (feminine hygiene kits, toilet paper, hand sanitizers)
- Water and purifiers of water. They are essential. (Essential to survive, for hygiene, and for cooking)
- Purchasing solar panels, power banks, and generators of energy to provide electricity and communication.
I have learned that actions by those able in the affected area assisted by the prayers and support of those in safety help the human spirit cope with the catastrophe and become stronger as they rebuild their environment.
I am Sergio Abraham Martinez C. I grew up in Acapulco and became a Red Cross Medic.
During Hurricane Pauline of 1997 I helped hundreds of families and children go to safety. Once the Hurricane was over I supported thousands to recover, rebuild and heal.
During the Hurricane Manuel of 2013 my mother, brother and I were spared because we were on the roof of a 3 story home waiting for days as the water subsided. After securing the safety of our mother, my brother and I returned home to help neighbors and begun the process of recovery and rebuilding.
If any of you would like to join in person contact me.
Together we can make a difference.
Thank you for your support.
